If you’re thinking ‘no’ to the traditional veil and you’re fashion forward, consider adding a detachable wedding cape to your wedding dress. They can be long, short, textured, structured, subtle or dramatic. Make sure you work with your bridal shop specialist to ensure your cape works well with your dress. For example if your dress is covered in lace you probably wouldn’t go with a full length, soli, satin structured cape. Or vise versa; your dress is off the runaway so a long lace cape probably wouldn’t match. You want everything to flow together……without looking like you just walked off the set of The Game of Thrones. It’s also an amazing way to incorporate two dresses in one. Again, who can realistically afford a ceremony dress AND a reception dress. With a detachable cape you’ll have created one look for your ceremony and then another for the reception without spending a lot.
